During our morning service on Sunday, July 11, 2021, our Bible talk examined Proverbs 4 and what it teaches us about God’s will for our hearts. This sermon was part of a three-talk series on ‘God’s will for our lives’ – given over the three Sundays of the 2021 midyear school holidays. Proverbs 4 teaches us that we were made to worship and love and delight in God – when we do that, all of our other loves are put into perspective. At the start of this recording, Alex reads for us Proverbs 4. During this talk, we examined Proverbs 4:1-27 under the following three headings:
1. Set your heart on God’s wisdom (vv.1-13)
2. Flee the lusts of the world (vv.14-19)
3. Guard your heart with vigilance (vv.20-27)
