This sermon was preached at WPC Belconnen’s Sunday evening service on November 28, 2021. The Bible passage being expounded is Daniel chapters 11 and 12.
Daniel 10-12 is a unit – and it contains the final revelation of things to come that God gave His servant Daniel. We looked at Daniel 10 last week and discussed its focus on the importance of prayer. Daniel’s prayers on behalf of Israel were heard by God in the heavenly throne room. God sent a mighty angelic messenger to speak to Daniel, in response to his prayers. And as a final blessing to Israel through the elderly Daniel, God revealed to him in great detail the things that would happen to Israel in the decades and centuries after Daniel. The vision ends with a glimpse ahead at the final tribulation that will come upon the world before the return of Jesus in glory.
