This sermon, which expounds John 4:1-26, was preached at WPC Belconnen on Sunday morning, October 23, 2022.
This passage narrates the first half of John’s account of Jesus’ encounter with a Samaritan woman at a well at Sychar. In this narrative, Jesus approaches a broken and despised woman and graciously draws her into the Kingdom of God. He reveals to her that He is the Saviour, the Messiah, the One who offers ‘living water’ that becomes in all who believe in Him a ‘spring of water welling up to eternal life.’
